Autumn planting of spring requires soil Prep

The next phase in the fall of the plantation often not appreciated is sowing the seeds of hardy perennials and Hardy annual, preferably in the context of the cold at the end of November. Under these conditions will not germinate until the spring, but you'll have much more time. Why not use Thanksgiving do it?

Of all the Green and all the fast-growing plants, most of them must have low temperature treatment over the winter, it can be sown during November and early December, for spring germination. These include flowering dogwood, birdseed, Cotoneaster, Golden rain tree, cork tree, Washington, bitter sweet thorn, Russian olive, magnolia, and hundreds of others. But it is necessary to eliminate the pulp prior to sowing seeds or germination may be delayed a year. One of the viburnums can be sown, but quite often it will take a whole year before they germinate.

Supply may be necessary. If there is enough moisture in the soil, the equivalent of one inch of rainfall downloads as long as plants grow, or perhaps half as many then fell and leaves. This is especially important with conifers, Broadleaf evergreens, and perennials.

Autumn planting, as spring planting, requires the preparation of good soil. This means the integration of rich organic matter and complete commercial fertilizer is thoroughly mixed with the soil in Hawaiian umbrella tree and other plants. It's much better to combine these materials with the soil, than the child itself, but no plants change only a small layer at the bottom of the pit. And while we're on the father, it's a good idea to fertilize the lawn early This autumn with a complete fertilizer such as 4-12-4, 5-10-5, 6-10-4 to pep up the grass, weeds are growing.

The use of compost

Fall planting calls for the use of compost. All the material, which stood on a pile of to may, and perhaps even to June will be sufficiently spread; with very little effort will break up in the mining and driving can be mixed with the soil. Not to be a fine powder. You're using a coarser material much more for your money. My own pile of compost predominantly from sheets, many of them put into the heap during April and may, will be applied to the last drop before the new leaves are on a pile of autumn. New beds receives an inch layer plus a complete fertilizer shall be spaded in so deep, how can I get another layer of inch, spade, the other driving; The next layer of about half a centimeter, third. Until then, you don't even need the shovel, although this is hard on the nails.
